A couple of weeks ago, we headed up to Redwood Forest in Warburton to begin the third day of filming for the latest music video for The Lesser Giants that we’ve been whittling away at over the last short while. Due to unforeseen equipment troubles, we had to cut the night short. That being said though, we did still manage to get a hand full of shots.
Come last night, we trekked out once again for what we knew was going to be a long night. Because it’s daylight savings time here in Victoria at the moment, nightfall didn’t come until around 8pm. Regardless, we got stuck into it, and by 5am, the team were more than ready to head home for bed. Thankfully, we’ve now wrapped everything that involves the band, leaving us only a handful of shots still to get outside of that.
As tiring as last night was, I am so happy to know that our efforts have not gone unrewarded. The weather behaved, the moon was bright, all equipment worked without a hiccup. Reviewing the images today is a reminder for why we choose to be filmmakers. Sure, filmmaking is a hungry beast, but the feeling you get after finally starting to piece everything together, makes up for all of what was lost to make it.
So for now, here’s a hint of what’s to come…
