In association with Mark White and Tom Conyers of Little Man Screaming, we are proud to share this visual production we recently produced together.
A first-time collaboration of The Decibelles Female Pop Choir, shOUT Youth Chorus, Low Rez Male Choir and MGLC who perform individually and then combine into the Summer Sing Fling Chorus.

We hope you enjoy this presentation as much as we did making it.

Phase One: Complete!

We are very pleased to announce that we have finally completed principal filming for our short film ‘My Imaginary Friend’. Believe it or not, it has been over a year since we first started filming for this project. Unfortunately, due to the existence of day jobs, family life and such, this is the reality for many emerging filmmakers.

As well as the always hard-working Kayla McKee, we are so grateful today to have had the amazing talents of Jennifer and Davis Angsiting, rounding out the completion of the live action portion of filming for this project. Everybody did an amazing job.

BUT… work has by no means come to an end for this project just yet. Due to the nature of this film, we have really only rounded out phase one of an admittedly ambitious creation. We still have the enormous task of rotoscoping this beast. For those that don’t know what that is, this means that we are going to use the live action footage as reference and redraw the characters, FRAME BY FRAME, to leave only animated characters.
On top of this, for what was simply going to be ‘only’ hand drawn/painted backgrounds, we still have some interesting ideas for this yet.
Of course, there is also the matter of music, sound design, and everything else that packages together a film. As happens to be the trend these days, many short films require the assistance of crowdfunding to make these jobs possible and ‘My Imaginary Friend’ is no exception. Especially when we are making a genuine effort to produce the most quality and entertaining piece of film we can.
We plan to have more information and other updates soon, so stay tuned!

As always, we appreciate everybody’s support that they’ve given to this project so far. All across the board. From the actors, the assistants, and even anyone who has bookmarked our website or liked our facebook page, every little bit of support is not just appreciated, but it’s essential in allowing a project like this to exist.

Until next time, please check out some of the photos from today’s shoot.

Thanks – Chris and Dean

My Imaginary Friend – Filming continues.

We’ve finally begun filming the final scene of our short film ‘My Imaginary Friend’.
Today we were lucky enough to have the lovely Rebecca Valastro join us once again, along with the wonderful Vincent Kos.
As usual, Kayla has had more than her share of work cut out for her, but she managed to get through the busy day. All twenty shots as a matter of fact!
It’s taken a tremendous amount of work to get to this point, but it’s been a fulfilling journey throughout.
Even as this phase nears completion, it’s not time for the campaign just yet.
There’s still the small task of animating the whole thing.
More on this soon, so stay tuned!MIFHOSP

So you want to know what that cool car was in that film that you just watched? Maybe you’re looking to find inspiration for one of your own projects and wouldn’t mind featuring a car from one of your favourite films. But what car is it? What year was it made?

The Internet Movie Cars Database has all of these answers covered.

While conducting some research for an upcoming film project, I recently came across this website, and it is pretty handy, indeed. Even if it’s just for some fun, there’s heaps to find from the user maintained community of film and car enthusiasts. It’s basically IMDB for screen used cars.

So head on over and check it out.

We had a great time yesterday filming another scene for our short film, ‘My Imaginary Friend’. Huge praise to Kayla for a long but very productive day.
There’s still a tremendous amount of work ahead of us, but it’s one more step in the right direction.

With production really starting to happen on our animated short ‘My Imaginary Friend’, one major consideration has been at what frame rate we will be animating it at.
Working out the balance between the physical workload and a pleasing motion of playback is a delicate choice, but this video I came across on YouTube really explains the subtleties well.

Rough assembly of yesterdays footage of the first scene from our short ‘My Imaginary Friend’. Barely scratching the surface of what we have ahead of us, but things are looking good so far…
