Well, this is a long overdue update to our long gestating short film, My Imaginary Friend.
It’s somewhat scary to know that we first begun filming for this production back in August of 2015! That’s two years already…
The reality is though, Skybird Entertainment is an independent venture, consisting of just two people, Dean Woodward and myself, Chris McKee. As is the case for many independent filmmakers, we all have unrelated day jobs, families, relationships and a whole assortment of other commitments and obstacles in our lives, so until the day comes that we can turn this hobby into a career, it often finds itself taking a reluctant back seat. This short film in particular, a highly ambitious project, requires even more time than usual.
That being said, however, I’m very pleased to say that we have completed our lead character’s dialogue sessions.
Sporadically over the last few weeks, we have had the amazing Kayla record her lines for the film. Even though she first performed them over two years ago, she still manged to nail every line. We are not just proud, but very lucky to have such a capable little artist working with us on this project. ![DSC_0565[462]](https://skybirdentertainment.files.wordpress.com/2017/09/dsc_0565462.jpg?w=529)
From here on, we are hopeful that we finally have this project back on track after a long period of hibernation. Over the journey, we have some very talented and all-round great people contribute to this film. Such as Rebecca Dorothy Valastro, Jennifer Angsiting, Vincent Kos and Davis Angsiting.
We still have one small, but significant, role to fill, but we hope to announce that very soon.
As for now, please continue with your support and we will do everything we can to bring you further updates in the not-too-distant future.
Cheers and thank you!
